Cape Hatteras Lighthouse

There are about 480 stairs to climb to get to the top.  Needs to say, I was doing a little huffing and puffing.  All light house on the East Coast have distinctive paint designs to assist the boaters to know where they are.  This one is the most widely recognized by all people, not just boaters.
